After some solid NJG posts, I’m going to switch it up a bit.

You should all know by now that “smartphones” are the new must have. I’m guessing that in five years, more people will have smart phones than than traditional cell phones (Quote me on that). That is why every electronics and software company is trying to get their share. Apple has already sold 13 million iPhones and Google just got in the game this week with T-Mobile (T-Mobile > Sprint). Unfortunately for these companies, I need that Crackberry.

I’m not going to get into all that technical stuff because you can research that yourself. I will just say this: Blackberry’s are the best bet when it comes to smartphones. Why? Because they’ve been doing it best for the longest when it comes the main thing most people use smartphones for: e-mail. I still have the Blackberry Pearl because it’s the best phone I’ve ever had. When it’s time for me to upgrade, I will either be getting the Bold or the Storm. These new companies, new in the smartphone category at least, have just caused Blackberry to step their game up. A new app store is being built and their phones are becoming more media friendly.

I’m not saying the iPhone and the G1 aren’t solid phones. They really are. And it really comes down to price and what you will use the phone for. The G1 and the iPhone will probably be cheaper than the new Blackberry’s off the bat. But if you try a Blackberry, you won’t think about those other phones.

Blackberry Storm

Blackberry Bold
