The WikiReader: You Be The Expert

Probably the best idea ever. Access to the largest compilation of semi-vetted knowledge, at your fingertips? Sounds like a man’s inner fact-nerd wet dream, and it’s yours for $99. Yesterday, Openmoko announced the WikiReader, essentially Wikipedia in the palm of your hand. If you’re wondering, WikiReader doesn’t require internet access, but rather relies on free quarterly updates available. Two AAA batteries will power this mini Edison for three months. Designed by Thomas Meyerhoffer (of Apple and surfboard fame), the WikiReader is designed to be simple. Making it easy for anyone to cheat their faces off in a classroom setting.
