The Hundreds “Adam Bomb” Toy.

Wed, Nov 12, 2008

Clothing

A toy. That is a logo for a clothing brand. With a retail price of $90-$100.

In the words of a great man, I feel like I’m taking crazy pills. (Also: I invented the piano key necktie.)

So the box is wooden. So the toy maker is Medicom. So “[t]he toy is weighted at the bottom so it is always positioned at the same angel as the actual TH logo. Dope?”

Nope. If you can shell out almost 100 bones to buy a plastic model of your favorite brand’s logo, then you, my friend, are a sucker. And this toy was made ESPECIALLY for suckers like you.

Digital Gravel (where these are still available for a limited time only!!) markets this thing as a collectible. That it’s gonna be worth hundreds of dollars at some point in the future. In 10 years, any combination of the following (or all of them) will have occurred:

-your wife will have made you pack this away because it’s a fucking toy and you’re a grown fucking man

-you will have lost it

-you will still have it on display, proud as ever, and no one will have any clue why

-The Hundreds will not exist (actually this is probably the likeliest occurrence among all these)

-you will have sold it in a garage sale to a 7 year-old for $1.75

-robots will have taken over the world, enslaved the entire human race, and packs of nomadic savages will roam the city sewers undetected by the all seeing robotic overlords, trading Adam Bomb figurines for the last bits of meat in a barren world (be it rat, canine, or koala)

That last one is a worst case scenario, of course, but if that shit happens…dammit. I may have just talked myself into buying every single one of these DG has left.
