Creativity is King

Hello. My name is NJG, and I will be your guide to the reintroduction of the JGoods Blog.

First thing you need to know: we are no longer focusing on just sneakers.

Sure, sneakers will still be in the mix from time to time, but our topics will be expanding a great deal. (More on that in a little bit.) Why the change? You’ll notice, as you go through past posts, that we didn’t have a whole lot of nice things to say about the world of sneakers. Things would occasionally catch our eye, but in general, it was a lot easier to point out the stupid, uninspired drivel that comprises 90% of what is released by shoe companies every month. And don’t get me wrong, it is entertaining to make fun of brands/shoes/people with no chance of repercussion…but it gets old after a while. It was time to branch out.

You’ll notice that the blog has a new title: “Creativity is King”. And that statement is going to be the motto of this blog from here on out. Our focus will be pointing out creativity wherever we find it. (And yes, on occasion, we’ll also be pointing out stuff with a lack thereof.) This blog is connected to the best custom sneaker site on the internet, and seeing as how custom sneakers embody the idea of “creativity” in just about every single way…this concept just made sense.

So what will be talking about on this new version? Shoes. Clothes. Music. Movies. Stores. Videos. Trends. Basically, any place where we see originality and imagination being used in new and/or interesting ways…we’re going to talk about it. As always, we’ll give you our unbiased commentary, as we have no sponsors and no one to try to please.
