Nike Dunk High SB Un-Futura

The Sneaker Culture

I was in Chicago for the weekend so I couldn’t post anything up. Back now though…

A couple years ago, when the hype for Dunk SB’s was almost at an all time high, a dunk SB came out designed by world-renowned graffiti artist Futura.

I remember going to a skate shop in my area back then and they had them priced at $125 (retail was supposed to be $65, but at that time it was impossible to find any SB for that price). I didn’t want to drop $125 on them so I ended up buying the Hulk’s instead. Now, the Futura’s go on eBay for around $300.

Now, I don’t know if Nike had it planned because of the popularity of the original Futura’s or if it’s is a pure coincidence, but the shoes below have earned the nickname the “Un-Futura’s”. These came out on August 2nd (check your local skateboard shop). I honestly believe that this is the best SB release of the year. Simple. Clean. Classy. And they’re high tops.

I like them even better with white laces.
