First off, and very quickly, I’d like to say welcome to the updated JG Customs blog. I’m njg, and I’ll be one of your editors-at-large. Let’s get down to business.
The above are ?uestlove of The Roots’ signature AF1, designed to coincide with the Nike 1World project. The shoe will be released at a couple store events around the country starting August 1st (with ?uestlove DJ’ing said events), and then everywhere on the 14th. And by everywhere, of course I mean damn near nowhere because, as you can expect, these are as limited as Paul Walker’s acting chops.
ADDITIONALLY, all the boxes will be sealed and 25 pairs of them will come with gold toeboxes. Whether this means your gift for getting a gold toebox pair is just that (you have a pair with a gold toebox!!! aka extra $350 when you sell them on eBay) or if there is more to the prize, I do not know. Someone hit up okayplayer.com and ask the man.
With all that said…these actually aren’t the ugliest shoes I’ve ever seen.
