Creativity is King

The Nike Air Max Penny 2 is easily one of my favorite shoes of all time. I’m not sure what about it I like so much, but it could be the fact that my older brother owned not one, not two, but THREE pairs of the OG versions of these. Guess how many of the OG versions I owned?

Goose egg.

Although to be fair, the reason he owned three pairs is because the air bubble blew out relatively quickly in the first two pairs. And back in the incredible days when you could pretty much send a pair of shoes back to Nike for any…ahem…”defect” whatsoever, he was able to have a crispy pair of these every 4-6 weeks. (My brother was honest about it. Me? My “defects” back in the day typically occurred a little less authentically.)

I don’t hold the air bubble blowouts against the II’s though…they are just too pretty. The best colorway is certainly the white one:
